The focus of the Michigan
Community Child Watch Program is to provide community participants with
the tools which enables them to observe,
remember, report and record all situations that could be labeled as
dangerous, suspicious or questionable when it comes to the safety of our
communities' children. As a member and a trained observer belonging to
the Michigan Community Child Watch program, one becomes a valuable tool
and a partner with one's community law enforcement agency.
All rules of the Michigan Community Child Watch are in accordance with
the
Michigan Public Act 32 of 1989
All
Michigan Community Child Watch volunteers are qualified by having
attended an education session and by having completed a screening
process by the local law enforcement agency.
Community Child Watch is a state
wide volunteer program. Run by volunteers,
administered by a volunteer steering committee, and sponsored by local
law enforcement.
If you would
like to start a Child Watch program in your Michigan neighborhood, contact
your local law enforcement agency.
